Qualification

The qualification requirements for the Assistant Manager – Production position at Britannia Industries are as follows:

  1. Engineer Graduate: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in food technology, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering.
  2. Food Technologist: Individuals with a specialization or degree in food technology are also eligible for the position.
  3. MSc Food Science: Candidates who have completed a Master’s degree in Food Science are highly valued for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing Kaizen & 5S techniques to ensure smooth operations.
  • Evaluating the variances in material consumption.
  • Planning and executing production on the production line as per plan with the help of executives, technicians, and available resources.
  • Managing factory budget and controlling manufacturing costs.
  • Implementing Autonomous maintenance and Integrated Lean Sigma (Il6S) to maximize operational availability of equipment and improve overall plant productivity.
  • Effectively using SAP module for production/materials planning, analysis of material variance, yield, and RM-PM wastages.
  • Preparing and submitting structured and analytical reports covering entire manufacturing operations for senior management.
  • Conducting training sessions for supervisors, technical, and operative staff to keep their skills up-to-date.
  • Using small group activities (SGA) for updating skills, productivity, and quality improvement.
  • Conducting safety-quality-engineering audits for workplace inspection, risk assessment, and more.
  • Drawing production plans, mapping raw material/consumable requirements, and coordinating with logistics to ensure availability.
  • Conducting root cause analysis of failures and developing timely breakdown solutions.
  • Leading IL6SIGMA, RCA, problem-solving, internal audits, and health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
  • Responsible for achieving targeted Global Efficiency as a part of the Autonomous maintenance pillar.
